From skeptic turns believer on Oppo 103D mod

Thanks for the your time on the demo for Oppo 103D. With all honesty, I have been a sceptic on the
quality of video of Oppo players although they are highly regarded in the audiophile arena. Not to
mention a modded Oppo player for a better PQ. To me, it is more of a "snake oil" sales. During the
demo........... Initial demo on the Oppo Player 103D using the Direct Source mode paying Transformer
3 Chapter 8....... I am not in any way impressed or surprise on the PQ. As it looks to me just like any
other blu ray player. 2nd demo on the modded 103D using the Direct Source mode paying
Transformer 3 Chapter 8 again........ At the beginning of the menu screen, I feel that there is more
depth and detail on the "transformer eye". However, thinking that it is my mind that is playing the
trick, I brushed it aside. At the mere few seconds playback on Chapter 8, I am stunned to see the
depth and details from the reflections on the glasses of the building! Even the colors are more natural
and easier on eyes. When the worm like transformer sprang out from ground, the detail on the soil
flying in the air is impressive! For that few minutes, I am convinced that there is indeed a difference
on the PQ before and after the mod (Now that I am convinced and I have to show respect by using the
word "upgrade"). I can't wait to lay my hands on one of these upgraded Oppo 103D by James from
Sound Affairs.
